The fine print, kept short.
The short version: Loom is pre-launch. Reservations and waitlist sign-ups are free and non-binding — nothing is charged on this site. When we are ready to ship we email you and you decide then.
1. Who we are
"Loom", "we" and "us" mean the Loom fragrance-primer project, started in the incubator programme at Downers Grove North High School, Downers Grove, Illinois. Contact: loomprimer@gmail.com.
2. Pre-launch status
Loom is in its first production run. Prices shown — $14.99 for the Glitter Primer, $13.99 for the Classic Primer and $6.99 for a refill — are our current pre-launch pricing and may change before launch. We always confirm the final price before you pay anything.
3. Waitlist and reservations
- Joining the waitlist means we may email you about Loom's launch. Unsubscribe any time.
- A reservation records the products you would like and the price shown when you reserved. It is not a purchase and not a payment. No card details are collected on this site.
- When the batch is ready we email you a checkout link. If you do not complete it, the reservation simply lapses and you owe nothing.
- We aim to honour the price you saw when you reserved. If costs change substantially we tell you before you buy.
4. The refill programme
A refill is a service, not a product shipped to you first. You order a refill, we send a prepaid label, you post your own empty Loom bottle back, and we clean, fill and return it. Bottles must be genuine Loom bottles, emptied and capped. We cannot refill a bottle that is cracked, chipped or missing its rollerball — if that happens we contact you and either return it unfilled or offer a replacement at the current price. Turnaround is typically about a week from the day we receive it, but is not guaranteed.
5. Using Loom
Loom is for external use on skin, applied before fragrance. Patch test first if you have sensitive skin, stop use if irritation occurs, keep away from eyes and keep out of reach of children. Loom is unscented and is not a fragrance, cosmetic treatment or medical product.
6. Returns and refunds
Once Loom is shipping, unopened bottles can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. Opened bottles that cause irritation can be returned within 14 days — email us first so we can help. Full shipping and return details are published at launch.
7. Your account of yourself
When you submit a form you confirm the details are yours (or you have permission to share them) and that you are at least 13 years old. Please do not use the site to send spam, probe for vulnerabilities or interfere with other visitors.
8. Content and trademarks
The Loom name, wordmark, photography, copy and design of this site belong to Loom. You are welcome to share screenshots and links; please do not copy the site or sell anything under our name.
9. No warranties; limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Loom is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
10. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA. Any dispute is handled in the courts of DuPage County, Illinois, unless applicable law lets you choose otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as Loom grows. The date above tells you when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
